SIMP Modal Window is feature rich popup Plugin for WordPress, you can create unlimited popups with full control over layout, design, display and contents, it's all up to you where, how, when you want to show a popup to visitors of your website or blog.
Unzip SIMP Modal .zip file you've downloaded from codecanyon.net open extracted folder, find "simp-modal-window" folder login to your server using ftp client navigate to "wp-content > plugins" inside your WordPress instalation directory, upload "simp-modal-window" floder to the plugins directory.
Now login to your site/blog navigate to "Plugins" find "Simp Modal Window" click on "Activate" to activate SIMP Modal Plugin, now you will see a new navigation tab "Simp Popups" below "Posts" tab. Congratulations you've successfully installed SIMP Modal plugin.
Creating a New Popup is very simple as you create other posts, navigate to "Simp Popups > Add New Popup" in the next screen enter a title for your new popup in title field, add contents in editor that you want to display as popup to your visitors.
Enter width in pixels e.g(320) enter height e.g(200) if you want add some space arround contents enter padding value in pixels e.g(10), choose background color using colorpicker.
now click on "Modal Settings" tab and choose display method like "Display On Page Load" (display popup to visitor when page is loaded) select pages or posts where you want to display popup, now click on "Publish" button to publish this popup. Congratulations we've added a popup successfully, However there are more settings with you can control popup layout and display settings, let me explain to you all these one by one below.
Now scroll down to "Modal Window Settings" enter width, height, padding, border-radius values in modal layout fields, select a background color for popup using colorpicker.
If you want to add a border around popup select proper border thickness, border style and border color using colorpicker from Modal Border fields.
if you want to show a background overlay select "Yes" in next field select overlay opacity and overlay background color using colorpicker.
You can add a box shdaow around the popup from "Modal Box Shadow" fields select box shadow value, box shadow opacity, pick a color for box shadow using easy to use color picker.
If you want to show popup close icon select Show Icon from "Modal Close Icon" select box, select position of close icon, next you will see some close icons click to select an icon which you want to display in a corner of popup.
Contents you've added in editor needs CSS styles to display properly in a popup, you can add CSS styles in "Content CSS Styles" textarea in the end of "Modal Design" tab.
In the top of Modal Settings tab you will find "Modal Display" settings, choose a modal display method from options provided, if you want to display popup on page load select "Display On Page Load", you can display a popup automatically after some time passed by selecting a time period, if you want to display popup "On Click" on a specific dom element like (a link, an image) then select "Display OnClick" method and enter CSS selecter (class or id) which you want trigger from in next field e.g we want to display a popup on click on a link which has id my-link so enter #my-link" in the field.
Next you will select where you want to display popup, if you want to display popup on all pages and posts choose "All Pages and Posts" or if you want to display popup only on pages or posts select "All Pages" or "All Posts", or if you want to display popup only on a page then select page e.g(Home) from select box, if you want to display popup on selectd posts and pages choose "Show on Specific IDs" and enter page/post IDs in textarea below alternativly you can display popup on everywhere but want to hide from some pages/posts then you need to choose "Hide on Specific IDs" and enter those page/post IDs in textarea below.
You can enable Auto Close option if you want to close popup automaticaly after selected time period then select time duration that best fit your needs, if you want to display auto close countdown timer on the popup to the visitor then select a position of timer like "Bottom Right" and select a text color for counter using colorpicker.
If you want to display a popup once a user or display again after selected time period then you need to enable set cookie in user browser and select cookie expiration time or choose "Show Again After Date" and select date using datepicker popup will display again after a selected date when user revisit your site.
You can select a Transitin type from 3 available transition types, and select animation speed in milisecods from "Animation Speed" select box heigher the value lower the transition animation speed, select close popup on click overlay, if selected "No" then the visitor can close popup only by clicking on close button otherwise user can close popup by clicking on overlay.
